Incredible beauties – those are the only two words necessary!

This past spring, I received a very awesome call from the wonderful people at Millers and MPixPro who wanted to know if they could highlight Catherine Clay Photography in an advertising campaign that would run on their website and in professional photography magazines throughout the summer.  My first response was WOW – I am so honored!  My next response was OH MY GOODNESS!  You see, I am not the best at being on the other side of the camera, especially alone.  In fact, for the first 4 years of my business, I never posted a picture of myself.  Once I did, I received comments that people really loved seeing who would be showing up in their home to document their life.

The people at MPIX Pro were amazing to work with and I love the finished product.  I have many peers who read this blog, and I wanted to share with them how awesome MPIX Pro and the Millers people have been as a lab. They have been incredible!  They are always listening to their photographers and want to know what we want to see in a lab.  I also love that they align themselves with small boutique photographers.  Just wanted to share the fun final ad images that ran this summer!  Thank you MPIX Pro!!!

I loved this little boy so much – of course I did – he laughed at all of  my jokes.  Our Fall season is in full swing!  The next 8 weeks are completely crazy, so say some prayers for our team!  Happy Fall!

She did it! Anica is Married!!!

September 12, 2011

The wedding was perfect in every way!  Anica looked amazing and Michael’s love for her was so evident.  They were both so happy!  The location was perfect and so was the evening!  I was not the photographer, but had my camera for a few pictures of Anica and then some of Brooke’s family and my family.  We had such a great time and the kids informed me they would like for Anica to get married again!  I was sad that I was not able to get a picture of the bride and groom together; but, I did not want to interrupt the “real” photographer.  Here is my favorite image of her that I got right before they walked down the aisle.

Over four years ago, Anica began working for me.  It has been so fun to watch her meet a boy and fall in love!  Tomorrow is the big day!  The Clay household is so excited for both her and Michael.  Here are some of the images I took back in the spring, and I thought I would share!  We say many prayers this evening for your new life together and we feel very blessed that tomorrow we get to witness such an awesome union.  Congratulations sweet friend!

Also – on a business note – Anica will be out of the office for the next week soaking up sun in the Bahamas.  She basically runs my life – so please be patient as I attempt to fill her shoes over the next week.  Wish me luck!
