An oldie but goodie – Dallas, Tx Child Photographer

Last spring, when we visited Fredricksburg, Tx, I took these images of my son and a friend’s puppy.  Yesterday, I found them on a random card from my camera that I had never downloaded.  I had to share, because it was so darn cute.  It really makes me want a puppy – we will get another lab, when we make that jump for our family – but this just made me smile.  Anyway – I will post more beach tomorrow – but wanted to share this to send you off into the weekend~  Blessings everyone!

Our favorite person – Plano Child Photographer

Our friends second session included a woman who is very special to us.  Our Nanny and all of her grandkids were at the beach for the first time ever.  I can’t tell you how happy I was that I could get a picture of her and all of her beautiful grandchildren.  She is such an incredible and special person and we feel very blessed she is in our lives.

Riley, Cooper, and Hudson – Dallas Child Photographer

When this Mommy called me and said she had heard about my work from one of my favorite families, I was super excited.  Because, I immediately knew I would love this family.  When I showed up, I was in awe of how beautiful this family, each and every one of them was.  They were so relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera and I feel very lucky to have spent an evening with this precious family.  Can you believe their outfits even matched their house?  How is that for the perfect styling?

Kennedy & Jimmy – Southlake Child Photographer, Catherine Clay Photography

Two more of my oldest and most favorite kiddos I shoot every year.  They even stayed just a few houses down from our house this year.  It is always fun seeing my clients turned friends when I am at the beach.  This family is so sweet.  The mom is one of my favorite people, always going out of her way to thank me for the images I take of her kiddos!  Thank you to this sweet family for another wonderful year!

This family is one of my oldest and favorite families.  I have been shooting them for years and have done their sessions at the beach for the last 3 years.  I always look forward to my night with these kids.  Check out how perfect this mom did with the styling for the evening.  Thank you sweet kiddos for being so fun.

Addison, Brooklyn, Brayden, & Mia – Beach Session #1

This family probably looks very familiar – they are some of our best friends.  After encouragement from us over the last several years, they finally tried Watercolor.  Last year they came for a week.  This year, they came for two weeks and next year they are planning to come for three.  It is so wonderful having them around when we are in Florida.  This year they had two different sides of their family come in different weeks – so much to the Daddy’s dismay, they did two full sessions.  Here is their first session.  It was so fun to capture their grandparents and extended family. It was also wonderful to get Brayden’s first pictures at the beach.

I think I gasp when I arrived to shoot this sweet family.  These children were so beautiful and the Papadanjo dresses the girls were in, made me smile from ear to ear.

Morgan and Charlotte- Dallas Child Photographer

I have shot Morgan and Charlotte in their beautiful home in Dallas before and this year – their sweet mom and dad made sure our trips to the beach coincided so that I could capture their family at the beach as well.  This might have been one of the craziness nights for me in Watercolor.  Two minutes before our session was to take place, we had a sudden torrential downpour.  I asked if they would be willing to drive down the road to shoot just outside of the rain, they said sure and we took off on a mad dash to outrun the rain.  Once we hit a dry area of the beach, I worked crazy fast and got some precious pictures of this sweet Dallas family.  After about 30 minutes, the rain hit and it hit hard.  Thank you Morgan and Charlotte for being so good and making my job so much fun!

I photographed so many beautiful families this summer – just wait!  The next few weeks you will be blown away by how cute all these kids were. My goal is to blog one a day, wish me luck.

The first family I photographed was an awesome family from Lubbock, my hometown.  I actually went to junior high with this Daddy – I love how my photography connects me to my past so often!  Check out these adorable and sweet kids who were also so much fun!

I’m back!!!! – Catherine Clay Photography, Dallas Child Photographer

As many of you know, we spend a good part of our summers in Florida.  We go to Watercolor, Florida – which is the residential community around Seaside, Florida.  There was a ton of concern this year over the oil spill; however, the beaches are beautiful and have definitely been spared from the horrific damage that has occurred in Louisiana.  While I am there, I shoot clients and friends who go there as well.  This year, I shot so many families I have loved for years and even some new families that I instantly fell in love with – have I mentioned that I have the best job on the planet.  I also shoot my children more at the beach – we are all in a better place and the camera is not seen as such a demanding and awful thing for them.  This year, one of my dear friends, who is also a photographer and who happens to live in paradise full time, spoiled us!  She took our family picture.  I know I have been gone from the blogging world for awhile, but I thought my first blog back, should be what I was most excited about from my trip.  Our family picture!!!  If you are ever in this area of Florida, you have to hire the most amazing and awesome people there!  Marla and Shane Carter.  They are a husband and wife team who are the best photographers on 30a.  Thank you Marla for giving me something so special, that will always be treasured!!!
