One Of My Favorite Families

There is a family that I have gotten the opportunity to photograph 3 times now and I have loved every minute of it.  You see, they are such an incredible family. I truly believe these parents would rather be with their kids and each other than anyone else on Earth.  They have such joy in their lives and they make me smile every time we are together.  This year they rocked some purple outfits too!  Check out how beautiful and fun they are!  Thanks H family for truly an enjoyable afternoon!

Hats Off

Everyone knows that I love hats!  I am kinda obsessed with them actually.  I buy alot for my kids – who never wear them I might add.  So, I was tickled pink when I arrived at this family’s house and saw this wardrobe option. Oh my goodness – these kids were so cute and Mom had the best furniture to shoot on as well!  Combine all of this with great natural light and look what you get!

Love it

Wardrobe Choices

OK – I have to say that all of my clients this year have really stepped it up a notch in regards to wardrobe!  WOW!  You all are doing such a great job of not being matchy matchy – but still coordinating so well!  This Mom did an amazing job with her family’s outfits.  I don’t typically show posed family pictures, because, I do not like them as much as interaction shots; however, I wanted to show you this family’s posed shots because, I love what they are wearing!

Gorgeous Family

I had the opportunity to shoot an amazing family two weeks ago.  They had the most magical backyard ever.  They have the coolest tree house.   I know my kids would think they had died and gone to heaven if they could play in it.  This Daddy is one lucky man – he has three of the most beautiful young ladies living with him!  WOW!  They are such an awesome family – Thanks S family for such an amazing evening!

Had to Share a Few More!

So, I sent the link to my sister of her pictures I already edited – YES – I am a superstar!  I know you wish you were related – actually this is quite rare that I edit anything personal in nature right away – so I know she feels very lucky this evening.  Anyway – she calls and says – where are the pictures of us swinging Will.  I thought about it and I knew I had taken some cute ones – sure enough – in the process, they somehow did not make it to the final slideshow.  Here are some of the ones she was referring to – I am so glad she asked!

They might be some of my very favorites!

Family Weekend

I am in the process of wrapping up a long family weekend.  This was OU/TX weekend.  We will not discuss the crappy game yesterday – granted, it was a good game – the outcome just sucked!  I also don’t want to discuss it because I had to miss it for the first time in 17 years.  I woke up Saturday morning with the worst sore throat ever – I was running a fever and felt like total crap.  Anyway – I stayed home with the kids and everyone else went to the game.  This morning I pulled myself out of bed, got dressed, and went to shoot my sister and her family for their annual Christmas / Fall shoot.  Anyway – we got some precious ones – thought I would share.  BTW – I know I am behind on client images – I promise to try and catch up this week with blog posts.  I will also try to not leave anyone out.

Blue Eyed Sisters

OK – best outfit of the year award goes to these little girls!  WOW! WOW! WOW!  I love that their Mommy pulled out all of the stops when it came to what to put these girls in.  I want these outfits for myself.  We also had a beautiful evening and beautiful light to make these pictures some of my very favorite I have taken in a while!

The Twins Are Back

I photographed these twins last year, and I loved seeing how much they had grown this past year. They just had their 3rd birthday.   They have also gotten even cuter – as if that was possible!  They also made my job super easy.  In fact, we did their entire session in about 40 minutes.

Three Beautiful Girls.

When I arrived at this family’s home last week, I was blown away at the beauty of all three of these precious sisters.  This family purchased their session that I donated at the Children’s Cancer Fund Auction.  I am so thankful they did.  Wow!  What beautiful girls they are raising – I am pretty sure I need to take a parenting class from their parents.  I have never met such polite and sweet children.  Each one of them came up to me at different times during their session and gave me a hug and thanked me for taking their picture.  These thank yous were totally unsolicited by their parents.

Another precious idea I learned from this family was “date night.”  You see my husband and I try to have a date night once a week.  Well this Daddy does it with his girls once a month on the day of their birthday.  I love this idea.  He lets them dress themselves and wear whatever they feel beautiful in.  He then takes them to a restaurant and orders for them and so forth.  He wants them to know how they should be treated as women when they do begin to date.  WOW!

Thank you “M” family – I am pretty sure I got more out of this session than you did and I thank you so much!

The Joy of Boys!

This family was awesome – and these two boys keep their Mommy and Daddy working!  What fun though and their parents are so laid back!  WOW!  I love that this Mom and Dad wanted some with just each other.  We should all have some with our spouse other than our wedding pictures.  My absolute favorite thing about this session, was that when we took off the boys shirts, the oldest had tattoos all over his body!  Nothing wrong with a little ink is there?
