Love is in the Details
February 24, 2009 – 2:15 pm
Everyone has been emailing me about the party. Well, here are some of the initial pictures. This party will have to have several posts. I really love details and truly believe that love is in each and every detail. I think I must have been a party planner in my past life. I must give credit where credit is due. This party was culmination of ideas I have seen in the blogging world over several years. My treat table was totally a poor knock off of Amy Atlas’s amazing work. I can not tell you how much fun this all was and that I could not have done any of it without my amazing assistant who came and took pictures, made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and did basically anything else that needed to be done on that day. Our cake was done my an amazing cake designer who works with my husband. His name is Brian Kurtz and if any one wants his number, please just shoot me an email. Well here are some of my favorite pictures of the details.
The Princess Party of All Princess Parties
February 21, 2009 – 8:00 am
This morning we are having the princess party of all princess parties at our home. Annabelle turned three last weekend and this weekend we will be having a few little princesses at our home for a tea party. I think I have been planning this party in my head since she was born – so I am excited to finally see it come to fruition. I know I am certifiable, it is a sickness I tell you – but I love throwing a good party. My husband asked me, earlier this week, if this was a one time occurrence – he hopes! I am very into the details, so expect some fabulous details soon! In fact, I love some of the decorations so much, I have been trying to figure out how to include them in our regular decor. Here are some of the pictures that we used for her invitation. She informed me that this dress would not work for her party, because it itched – so expect to see another princess outfit for the party pictures.

First Born
February 20, 2009 – 11:54 am
Yesterday, I had the wonderful opportunity to meet a new client who just had their first child. I love being around new parents – there is nothing like that new excitement, apprehension, and outpouring of love you see in a new Mom and Dad’s face. I typically get to meet Grandparent’s as well. It is sooo much fun and such an honor to go into a house in those first few days at home. In the next few weeks, I think I have at least 5 newborns. So I hope you get used to seeing babies around here! We love it!
Kuddos to this Mommy who thought to use a hair dryer to warm the bench before we placed this precious little girl on it. Who would have thought a baby would love a warm hairdryer being blown her way. She finally slept and it was so worth the wait!
Three Years!
February 15, 2009 – 9:04 pm
We got back late last night from an incredible time in the mountains.
Today, we woke to a little girl who has filled our life with such joy for 3 years. I can’t believe she is three today! She is such a light and we have been so blessed by her joyful spirit. I wish I could bottle her up and keep her at this stage forever – (well, minus the diapers that she refuses to get rid of.) We started the day with presents from family- a ballerina costume, a baby doll that crawls, a beauty salon set, and a new pram for her dolls. She was beside herself to say the least! We then loaded up and went to Celebrity Bakery for lunch so that she could pick her favorite treat. She dressed herself and of course picked out the skirt and shirt with the most sparkle. I talked her into the long sleeve shirt and tights, because she would have been freezing. She picked a cookie shaped like lips and then also ate her brother’s cupcake. It has been a wonderful day!
Hope everyone is well and I look forward to shooting a bunch a new babies in the next couple of weeks!
Here are a few images from today.

February 9, 2009 – 5:57 pm
So, everyone who knows me well, knows that I never do any kind of character, ie sponge bob, hanna montana, anything. Well, especially not valentines. I have always handmade my kids valentines to their classmates and teachers. I find great joy in it and plus, it always includes a special photo session with the kids. Here is the picture that went on Annabelle’s valentine bags for her friends. I had to do them early because we are leaving for Aspen in the morning. On a business note, Anica will be working throughout the week, so if you need us, just email. I will be posting many pictures from the mountains when I return!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
Birthday Boy
February 5, 2009 – 1:45 am
This little guy turned one this past weekend. I really enjoyed spending time with he and his parents. They were super cool and very laid back and comfortable with the whole picture taking experience. Baby C. was fussy due to teething trouble at first, but Mom dosed him with a little Tylenol and we were golden. I love the awesome diaper cover that Mom had for him. She uses cloth diapers at home and therefore has some really awesome covers.
Happy BIrthday Baby C.
