Friends

I had a dear girlfriend fly in last weekend specifically so that I could take her son’s 1st bday pictures.  We had such a great weekend and I got some precious images of her two boys!  Thanks Kelly, Kyler, and Jamison for flying across the country just to give me the opportunity to document your lives!  Love you guys!

Splish Splash – a baby in the bath or sink

I talked this adorable family into taking pictures of them giving baby Katherine a bath in the kitchen sink.  They had a fantastic kitchen and we got some precious images.

Birthday in the Park

Recently, I shot one of my precious baby planners first birthday session.  I LOVE some of these images so much – and the entire cake scene just makes me smile!  Happy Birthday sweet Parker, thank you for choosing me to document your first year!

Precious 5 months

One of my first sessions back, was one of my  favorite baby planners.  Here is the baby’s 5 month session.  I shoot his big brother over his first year and I love watching these children grow up!  It is so fun to see a big brother taking over that new role to teach his little brother about the world.  Sorry I am sucker for a fussy face!

Cutest puppy ever!

Yesterday, I had a crazy shoot where their were 3 kids, two parents, and two dogs.  My assistant did not inform me that they were bringing their two dogs until a few hours before the session.  Well, I was a little hesitant about the session, but it ended up being awesome.  I have not gotten to the majority of their pictures, but I did do this one image – I could not help myself.  Needless to say – when this cute thing showed up – all my worries about a decent session were erased!

Beach House Session

Often people feel that if they do a beach photo session, they need to shoot on the beach.  I am always up for beach shoots; however, most of the homes in the area are amazing!  They usually have beautiful furnishings and wonderful light.  Two of my families rented one of my favorite houses in the area and I insisted that they let me shoot them there first.  I love the images we got!

Awesome Family

Many of you will probably recognize these sweet kiddos.  They live in Tulsa, OK, but visited Watersound this year.  I love doing photography sessions at Watersound, because it is so secluded.  No one is ever on the beach, so the pictures are always amazing!  This family is so much fun and I am honored they had me capture them on their vacation.  Mommy is also an aspiring photographer, so it is super fun to hang out with you and chat about my work.

The Perfect Genes

Yes, I meant to spell genes – you see one of the families I had the opportunity to shoot have just these.  They are not only one of the kindest families I have ever met, they also are crazy beautiful – each of them – there is not an ugly one in the bunch.  Check out these perfect genes – and  you knew that with names like Matilda, Gordon, “Bear”, and Caroline – just to name a few – they had to be perfect~

School is back in session!

School started this morning, for at least one of my kids.  I am officially done editing beach pictures too – wooo it has been alot of work and next year I will officially take my big screen.  If it had not been for my awesome photography friends at the beach http://www.marlaandshane.com/, I would have never gotten anything done.  Thanks you all again for letting me set up shop for 3 days and edit.  Because we are at the beach for so long, we have different friends and clients who come in over the month.  It is awesome, each week we get to spend time with new people.  I will spend this week posting many of the amazing families who decided to do a beach photography session.

These first two families we have known for years and love them.  They are dear friends and we love that they joined us this year at the beach!

Beach Time

We love to go to the beach in the evenings.  This was one evening I took the kids down and my sweet babysitter who came to help me out.  I wanted to get some pictures of her with the kids on the beach.  It was a beautiful evening!  I have only been home a few days, yet I already miss our way of life at the beach.  We ride bikes, instead of driving; we read books, instead of watching TV; we catch frogs and lizards, instead of playing with toys.  It is really an amazing place – that I love beyond what I could have ever imagined.  Until next year Florida – Now back to the regular scheduled programming.
